About

Hi, I'm Emma (she/her)

I have been described by clients as holding a gentle, attuned presence, along with a powerful container for exploration.

I am a somatic and energy practitioner in the PNW. I reside on the traditional, unceded land of the Coast Salish peoples.

After years of working in the traditional medical model of psychiatry, I found myself drawn to the deeper layers of the human experience. I began more focused training in somatic psychotherapy models and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which honor the wisdom of the body in a non-pathologizing, welcoming approach. Soon my practice moved from psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing, and prescribing, to longer sessions with patients, and deeper explorations with psychotherapy. As the years progressed, I found that the more I developed working in a way that was aligned with my true aptitudes and natural intuitive abilities, the more my practice began to grow and flourish, and soon I had clients waitlisted for months to see me.

Please note: to see me for individual psychotherapy, you can find me at Spruce. In my Attuning Energy practice however, I am not working as a mental health provider, nor am I providing mental health diagnoses, treatment, assessment, or evaluation.

I have known since childhood that I am an empath and highly sensitive to emotions and energy.

It wasn’t until 2022 that I began formally developing my connection to energy, including advanced training in Reiki. In one instance, I recall being at a training for a somatic retreat process and commenting about noticing the way energy was moving around an individual during some emotional processing - it didn’t occur to me that others could not “see” energy the same way that I could. It was with this exploration that I later came to understand that I am particularly clairsentient and clairvoyant, and that part of my gifts are using my intuitive intelligence and connection to spirit to guide the session.

Attuning Energy was created as a space to bring my healing arts to others, and the fullness of who I am as a practitioner.

My Approach

I believe that our bodies and systems hold deep wisdom, and that transformation unfolds when we slow down, listen, and invite all parts of ourselves to be recognized and heard.

My approach is heart-centered, and blends energy healing through Reiki with somatic modalities and Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS is a non-pathologizing, transformative, and evidence-based approach that guides individuals toward access and love of their inner protective and wounded parts. My offerings include 1:1 somatic and energy sessions with IFS; distant Reiki sessions, and retreats and workshops.
